A téma rövid leírása, a kidolgozandó feladat részletezése:

Today's concrete technology, thanks to state-of-the-art concrete admixtures, enables the realisation of concrete structures with increasing performance and durability. High-strength concrete with compressive strength of more than 70 N/mm2, as well as concrete mixtures that workability can be stabilized for a long time, provide convincing evidence. In the last decade, self-compacting and high-strength concrete have become increasingly widespread.
The research project involves developing a design process taking into account:
- type of cement, amount of cement, type of additional fines (eg. blast furnace slag, limestone and silica powder) and specific surface area,
- effect of minimum water addition and water-cement ratio,
- grain size distribution and type of additive,
- the use of admixtures.
In laboratory tests, it is necessary to determine the compressive strength, water tightness, water absorption and elastic modulus as a function of water-cement ration, porosity and specific surface area.
There are essential requirements for concrete used in industry like high performance and easy workability as well as the control of curing process.
The expected result of the doctoral research is to realise the design of hardening processes of high strength and self-compacting concrete with different concrete technology parameters, which are of decisive importance in terms of construction and economics.
